In Memoriam
In Memoriam of Boris Fridman
In many ways, Prima is one of Boris’ countless lasting legacies. In 2019, after helping manage the team for several seasons as Little Five FC, Boris was a critical part of the rebranding from Little Five FC to Prima Football Club. Named after his family’s gymnastics studio and soccer training facility in Alpharetta, Georgia, Boris took on a major responsibility within the organization as a leader, manager, player, administrator, and recruiter. Boris’ gym also became the home of Prima FC’s weekly indoor sessions, which helped propel the team back into ADASL Division 1 in 2020.
In 2020, Boris was diagnosed with a glioblastoma. Over the course of the next three years, Boris endured several surgeries, courses of chemotherapy, and radiation. Several times throughout those three years, Boris’ health improved and his prognosis seemed hopeful. However, in April 2023, after a long and devastating fight, Boris tragically passed away at just 32 years old. He will be remembered in the Atlanta Soccer Community as a competitor, coach, teammate, and friend. He will forever be in our hearts.
